Being an entrepreneur is a lot of work and it can be easy to forget a few key dates. To help you keep on top of your CRA commitments in 2022, we've put together a list of dates that we believe are important for self-employed Canadians.
Payment for GST/HST collected between October–December 2021 is due if you file your sales taxes on a quarterly basis.
The final date for your RRSP contributions to be eligible for the 2021 tax year.
Quarterly installment payment for your income tax is due if you anticipate owing more than $3,000 (for Quebec $1,800) at tax time in 2023.
This is the deadline to pay your taxes if you owe the government any money for the 2021 tax year. This includes your personal income tax as well as any GST/HST owed if you file your sales taxes on an annual basis.
Payment for GST/HST collected between January–March 2022 is due if you file your sales taxes on a quarterly basis.
The due date for self-employed individuals—this means you, sole proprietors—to file their 2021 income tax.
