Being a freelancer is a lot of work and it can be easy to forget a few key dates. To help you keep on top of your CRA commitments this year, we've put together a list of dates that we believe are important for Canadian freelancers like you.
Payment for GST/HST collected between October–December 2019 is due if you file your sales taxes on a quarterly basis.
The final date for your RRSP contributions to be eligible for the 2019 tax year.
Quarterly instalment payment for your income tax is due if you anticipate owing more than $3,000 at tax time in 2021.
Due date for self-employed individuals—this means you, freelancers—to file their 2019 income tax.
This is the ✨new✨ deadline to pay your personal income taxes if you owe the government any money for the 2019 tax year.
Your deferred quarterly instalment payment for your income tax is also due if you anticipate owing more than $3,000 at tax time in 2021. This payment would previously have been due on June 15th.
Your deferred sales tax payment is due as well. This payment would previously have been due on April 30th if you file your GST/HST payments annually. If you file your sales tax quarterly, your deferred payments from April 30th and July 31st are also due.
